La misión de los programas bilingües es promover la alfabetización bilingüe y actitudes interculturales positivas en nuestro mundo cada vez más multilingüe. Además de brindar increíbles beneficios académicos a los estudiantes, los buenos programas de lenguaje dual también crean niño(a)s completamente bilingües, bialfabetizados y biculturales que se destacarán en nuestro mundo cada vez más globalizado. También sabemos que el apoyo en casa es esencial para el éxito de buenos programas de lenguaje dual. Uno de nuestros objetivos principales como PTA es facilitar ese apoyo en Becker, promoviendo nuestro increíble programa DL y defendiendo a nuestros estudiantes de dos idiomas.
The dual language programs’ mission is to promote biliteracy and positive cross-cultural attitudes in our increasingly multilingual world. In addition to providing incredible academic benefits to students, good Dual Language programs also create fully bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural children who will excel in our increasingly globalized world. We also know that support at home is essential to the success of good dual language programs. One of our primary goals as a PTA is to facilitate that support at Becker, promoting our amazing DL program, and advocating for our dual language learners.

FIRST LEGO League es un programa educativo que desarrolla el interés y la competencia de niño(a)s de 4 a 16 años en ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, arte y matemáticas (STEAM), a través de un aprendizaje práctico y divertido. Aquí puedes encontrar información de como participar en este programa. Este club está dirigido por una madre de familia voluntaria.
FIRST LEGO League is an educational program that develops the interest and competence to children ages 4 to 16 years old in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), through practical and fun learning. Here you can find information on how to participate in this program. This club is run by a parent volunteer.

El gallinero fue fundado por la maestra de arte Sarah Clendenon y Aaron Vyvial en el verano de 2010. Desde entonces, el gallinero ha estado al cuidado de varios voluntarios de nuestra comunidad. Este incluye un cobertizo donde las aves reciben alimentación por medio de un sistema automático. Este es el último año que la familia Broecker se hará cargo del gallinero. Si te interesa ser parte del cuidado de nuestra gallinas, mandanos un mensaje.
It was founded by art teacher Sarah Clendenon and Aaron Vyvial in the summer of 2010. Since then, the coop has been in the care of various volunteers from our community. It includes a hen house and run with an auto-water and feed set-up. This is the last year that the Broecker family will take over the chicken coop. If you are interested in being part of the care of our chickens, send us a message.

The No Fuss Fundraiser is a simple, convenient way to support the Becker PTA—no selling required! Just donate funds, and 100% of them go directly to supporting PTA programs. Grandparents and other family members can support Becker too!
