Si puedes hacer algo para ayudar, ¡hazlo!

Léale a una clase, ayude a un maestro a preparar los materiales, sirva de acompañante en una excursión, riegue las parcelas del jardín, done alimento para el gallinero, sea voluntario para un comité, ayude a planificar un evento escolar... las formas en las que puede ayudar son infinitas. La asociación trabaja arduamente para identificar las necesidades de nuestros maestros y estudiantes para brindarles el apoyo necesario.

Read to a class, help a teacher prep materials, chaperone a field trip, water the garden plots, donate some chicken feed, volunteer for a committee, help plan a school event... there’s no end to ways you can help. The PTA works hard to identify the needs of our teachers and students to provide them with the necessary support.

Todos los voluntarios, ¡incluidos los padres!, deben estar registrados en Austin Partners in Education (APIE por sus siglas en inglés). Es un requerimiento del distrito escolar que garantiza que todos los voluntarios tengan una verificación de antecedentes penales actualizada para ayudar a mantener un entorno seguro para nuestros niño(a)s.

All volunteers, including parents!, must be registered with Austin Partners in Education (APIE). It is a requirement of the school district that ensures all volunteers have a current criminal background check to help maintain a safe environment for our children.

No podemos hacerlo sin ti. We wouldn’t want to do it without you.

Durante los primeros 20 días del año escolar, evitamos que haya voluntarios en el salón de clases lo que permite que los maestros y sus alumnos establezcan rutinas, sistemas y buenos hábitos en el salón de clases sin distracciones. Este tiempo ininterrumpido permitirá a nuestros maestros crear un espacio acogedor y comunitario con los niños.

During the first 20 days of the school year, we avoid any volunteers in the classroom which allows teachers and their students to establish routines, systems, and good classroom habits without distractions. This uninterrupted time will allow our teachers to create a welcoming and communal space with the children.
